I found this single in the bargain box at Amcorp Mall flea market. Bought it for RM4 (~USD1).
Posted is a remix track, totally different from the album version.
Check out the very corny opening "phone conversation". LOL!
This song peaked at Billboard no.2 behind Mariah Carey's Hero in 1993.(Long live Mariah!)
So, what happened to Tevin Campbell?
In 1999, Campbell was arrested after soliciting oral sex from an undercover police officer posing as a male prostitute during a sting operation in Van Nuys, California. (Yikes!). According to police reports, marijuana residue was also found in Campbell's car during the arrest.
Campbell pleaded no contest to the misdemeanor of solicitation, and as a result was ordered to pay $1080.50 in fines, attend meetings of Narcotics Anonymous and participate in a court-sanctioned AIDS awareness class.
Campbell is currently playing the role of Seaweed J. Stubbs in the Broadway musical Hairspray. He has been with the cast since December 2005.
u don't understand how long i've been looking for this remix ever since my vinyl copies got warped back in '96. Thank You!!!! is there any way you can send me the remix version with him singing over the classic "Paul Revere" beat? on the vinyl, it was on the b-side so i'm sure it was also available on the cd that you have as well. i'm willing to trade any file you might need for that one if you have it. email me at jayson.reid@gmail.com, thanks again...
This song reminded me of a guy who played this song whenever i'm chilling out at this particular shopping complex when i was in my teen. By thw way, he was working there as a DJ. Each time i hear this song being played it reminded me of him. Another song from Tevin Campbell that this guy use to play for me each time he calls at night was What Do I Say... listen to the lyric and you would know exactly what the song is all about...
if you have a crush on someone and you don't know how to tell it to her/him... just dedicate the song 'What Do I Say' by Tevin Campbell and the song says it all...
Did you know that Tevin Campbell had new unreleased stuff coming out? i think its already out.. On amazonmp3 and itunes. Just type in Tevein Campbell and you'll see unreleased 2008..
Welcome to my music vault. Here you will find my favourite songs from the yesteryears. My intention of putting up this blog is to pay tributes to the entertainers who were there for me - especially during my ups and downs, throughout my carrot-cut-jeans-wearing high school years and those tea-dancing college years. Heheh! Seems like just yesterday....
I have a collection of 80’s & 90’s music on original CDs - little gems that I dug out from the bottom of the bargain bins. Hours spent from rummaging through the used CDs in 2nd hand shops and SPCA jumble sale are sometime worth it.
Some CDs were purchased during my trip to Japan a few years back. You will be amazed at the "retro" stuff that you can find in Japan! Of course having friends with the same music taste for swapping helps to add increase my collection.
I can safely say that none of the track posted here are available in Malaysia now. You can't buy them anymore! So, this will not affect albums sale. (OK..They were probably not released in Malaysia at the first place. LOL). Mostly are extended versions and remixed stuff.
My own thoughts and comments about the songs are written in the comment tab to keep the blog uncluttered. Please leave yours too.
I hope you enjoy this blog. Please drop bouquets and brickbats to runwitme@gmail.com
Please share with me if you have the REMIX or EXTENDED non-album versions of following songs (preferably in high quality). Thank You!
01. (You're My One And Only) True Love - Seduction 02. Could This Be Love – Seduction 03. Two To Make It Right - Seduction 04. High Time – Nia Peeple 05. Gotta Tell You (Milk & Sugar Club Mix) - Samantha Mumba (7:56) 06. Sandy Lam remixes.
